Biography

I have been an Alderman for the Ward of Dowgate since 2002. I was previously a Member of the Court of Common Council and latterly Deputy for the Ward of Dowgate 1991 - 2002. The ward is located on the Thames side of the City of London. Click here to see the boundaries.

I am a Magistrate in the City of London; Member of the Finance Committee, City Lands and Bridge House Estates Committee and the Livery Committee; Chairman of the Energy Working Party. This covers all energy and sustainability issues within the Corporation's own occupational and investment properties and with a major purpose to engage with City businesses.

A Trustee of Gresham College I am also a Governor (Chairman 1997-2000) of the City of London School for Girls and Patron of the Vintry and Dowgate Wards Club (and past Chairman).

I have been a Partner in the real estate group of DLA Piper UK LLP London since 1985. I also have a number of other professional and charitable interests and connections and these can be seen on the Links page.
